“DEMO DAY”
After a few weeks of clearing out the house and finding a new home for many of the items inside (as well as saving some for reuse), we were all anxious to see the work get started today! As planned, the excavators arrived on time to an audience of neighbors and family, ready to see the show!
Equipment in place! We are all ready!
The action started out slow due to the fact that we are saving the existing bathroom, which happens to be right in the center. The excavator was not thrilled but said it made the job interesting as least!
Starting with the chimney, then cutting the roof around the bathroom will allow them to “eat away” around the room and preserve it.
Demo Video No turning back now! The “dinosaur” takes a bite and there goes the roof!
I think these speak for themselves!
We left for lunch with about 1/4 of the house down & a lot of debris. Check back tomorrow!
